CSL Information Security Policy

At the Centre for Synchronous Leadership (CSL), we believe in keeping sensitive and restricted information secure.

Password Protection

All computers, emails and systems containing sensitive or restricted information are protected using a strong password.  Users are not permitted to use these same passwords for personal purposes or to share these passwords with others – including colleagues who do not have the same level of security clearance.

Secure Work Areas

Users are responsible for ensuring that all sensitive/confidential information in hardcopy or electronic form is secure in their work area at all times.  CSL computers are programmed to lock after five minutes of not being used.  Additionally, any sensitive/confidential documents are required to be shredded before disposal.

Employee and Contractor Authorisation

All new CSL employees and contractors must be briefed on the distinction between information that is considered sensitive/confidential information versus that which is not.  Before they gain access to sensitive/confidential content, they must be contractually bound to adhere to CSL’s information security and data protection policies.  The same applies before they gain access to CSL networks, systems, authorised software or have the authority to make infrastructure changes.

Policy Updates

Our information security policy is under regular review.  We will place any updates on this web page.  This version was updated in July 2021.
